Keep it all going [CLOSED]
Who: Norman and Courtney Babcock
When: A little later in the day.
Where: The Lodge
What: The Babcock siblings catch up after splitting off when they arrived at camp.
Warnings: So much sass.
The day had certainly been an overwhelming one. He didn't know what he was expecting when he got here, but so far it had been more than he could hope for. Okay, so what Dio told him earlier was still kind of worrying, but he was trying not to think about that. For all he knew, he was just trying to prank him for being new.
Either way, after talking to the first person he'd ever met that could talk to the dead besides him, he was in pretty high spirits (Pun intentional). He wandered into the lodge and sat down at one of the tables to munch on a sandwich, kicking his feet idly as he ate.
Maybe this would shape up to be a pretty good summer, after all.

Especially since she'd become unfortunately aware of the whispers of thoughts in the back of her head that were not hers. But, she would regret to admit, she could only spend so much time staring at wooden walls before her sanity started to suffer. So she was making her way to the Lodge for food and maybe something normal.
Like TV. TV sounded mindless and wonderful right now.
Of course...the second she walks in she spots her little brother. A rather glaring reminder that this place was weird and things were only going to get worse. "Great."

He hadn't seen her since the bus. Which, was intentional, believe him. He wasn't about to let Courtney's sour mood dampen his excitement. Though, with both of them stuck at camp, it would only be so long before they could avoid each other.
He glanced back at her and swallowed, rolling his eyes. "I'm so sorry for breathing your air."
no subject
"Better then the air around...around...Norman there are outhouses here. That we have to actually use."
no subject
"Oh. Really? You would think that maybe a government funded summer camp would have running water." Though, despite how hideous the idea of outhouses were to Courtney, Norman didn't seem terribly bothered.
no subject
"Would it like, kill the budget to just get one bathroom?" Then again...with a bunch of psychic weirdness happening everywhere...who knows what pipes would do. Random floods? Rust showers?
no subject
"I dunno. Sounds like maybe its a test. How can we train to fight psychic terrorism if we can't handle an outhouse."

"It might not be that bad, you know."
no subject
"That bad?" She rolls her eyes a little, moving from completely pissed to annoyed, "Do I really have to mention the outhouse again, cause I totally will."
no subject
"I mean apart from that. I know how appalled you are by weird stuff but it might actually be fun? We are like three-thousand miles away from mom and dad and anyone you might ever see at school."
no subject
"You have like no idea how fast gossip can travel, do you." The rumors would start, probably already had, about her and Norman being out of town. Speculation would start and by the time September rolled back around everyone would have an opinion or 'i heard' story.
"Why are you eating empty carbs?" Yeah, she can't ignore the lettuce thing. She's not touching the lettuce in her sandwich, thank you very much.
no subject
"But it would be pretty easy to make up a story about camp. You can tell them we went to visit family or something. What I'm trying to say is, it might be fun to be in a place away from Blithe Hollow because no one back home is there to judge us." Like Mom or Dad. Specifically Dad.
He popped another piece of lettuce in his mouth and shrugged again. "It's crunchy. I like it."
no subject
"No one judges me. Well, no one important anyways." She was a daddy's girl so that wasn't an issue, "Maybe. We've got to have weird cousins or something that aren't from Blithe. Somewhere." She put the sandwich down, making a face at the crunch and just shaking her head.
"Longest summer ever. I can't believe I'm saying this but, ugh, August can't get here soon enough."
no subject
"Your loss. Maybe if you get your telepathy under control enough, you can convince mom and dad not to send you back."
no subject
"Norman! That's brilliant! If I don't have to worry about accidentally getting like mind scarred or something, I might be able to go home!"
no subject
"I- well, yeah, sure. If you get your telepathy badge, maybe that will be enough?"
